Last updated October 15, 2026. This page explains what Saturday is for CFB collects, why, and how to reach us about it.
Saturday is for CFB ("the app," "we," "us") is a college football schedule and live-score tracker. This policy covers the website at saturdayisforcfb.com and any Saturday is for CFB app distributed through an app store, since they're built from the same product and handle data the same way.
If you don't sign in: we generate a random identifier and store it in your browser's local storage, purely to keep your list of tracked teams attached to that browser. It isn't tied to your name, email, or any other personal information, and it never leaves your device except to tell our servers which team list to show you.
If you sign in with your email address: we receive that email address through Firebase Authentication and use it only to send you the one-time sign-in link and to keep your teams attached to your account. There's no password.
If you sign in with Google: we receive your email address, display name, and a Google account identifier through Firebase Authentication. This lets your tracked teams follow you across devices instead of staying stuck to one browser. We don't receive your Google password, and we don't request access to anything else in your Google account.
Tracked teams and preferences: whichever schools you add, along with basic display info for them (school name, color, logo, rank), are stored against your browser's identifier or your signed-in account.
Feedback: if you submit the in-app feedback form, we store the star rating and any comment you write. If you were signed in at the time, your email address is attached to that submission so we can follow up if needed.
Send My Schedule: if you use this feature, we create a public page showing your tracked teams' games for that week, along with any name you choose to put on it (or none, if you leave it blank). That page is viewable by anyone who has the link - it's meant to be shared - and doesn't require an account to view. Opening the link is also counted toward a simple view count.
Notifications: if you turn on game alerts or the weekly schedule reminder, your device gives us a push token (a random identifier from Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging that lets us send that device a notification), which we store with your team list's identifier, which alerts you chose for each team, and whether the device is the Android app or a browser. We use it only to send the notifications you turned on: game alerts for teams you choose, and, if left on in Notifications, a weekly schedule reminder, reminders for games that aren't on a Saturday, a heads-up when your teams' games overlap, and new Chaos Forecasts. Turning alerts off in the app, blocking notifications in your settings, or uninstalling the app stops them; tokens that stop working are deleted automatically.
Analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand how the app is used - which pages get visited, which features get tapped, that kind of thing. This works the standard way Google Analytics works on any website; we don't layer on any additional tracking beyond it.
What we don't collect: we don't collect payment information, location data beyond what Google Analytics infers from an IP address the same way it does for any site, or any data from third-party services beyond what's described above.
Schedules, scores, TV info, and similar details come from College Football Data (collegefootballdata.com), a third-party sports-data provider. This is data about games, not about you, and fetching it doesn't involve sending any of your personal information to that service.
Strictly to run the app: showing your tracked teams and their games, syncing that list across your devices if you're signed in, understanding overall usage well enough to improve the app, and following up on feedback you choose to send us. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
The app links out to third-party sites in a few places - for example, a team page may link to that team's gear on Fanatics. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy doesn't cover.
You can remove any tracked team at any time from within the app, which deletes that team from your list immediately. You can delete everything yourself at any time from the menu: Settings → Delete my data (or "Delete my account and data" when signed in), which removes your team list, notification settings, registered devices and, if you have one, your account. If you'd like your account's data deleted entirely another way, or have any other question about what we have on file, contact us at the email below and we'll take care of it.
Saturday is for CFB isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
If what we collect or how we use it changes in a meaningful way, we'll update this page and change the date at the top.
